Why sign him if we are not going to use him? From what I saw in his, what 8 minutes, he looked pretty good.

Agreed I actually thought his goal was very underrated by JT on Humberside once i'd seen it on player

Ridiculous pace to slide in and score that goal, even if the defence was tiring that game

Same as Hearn and Elding for their first few matches in not scoring regularly - I just think that he will have more pace and fitness at this stage of the season than Soares if used as a front man or supporting forward.

Soares will come good next season once training at our level from the start.

K H-M should get a chance today if Hearn still isn't fit.

Don't forget that York outran us for pace all over the field on Tuesday - let's do that to Tamworth today!

Faster players have the ability to break through one on one, and can meet the faster crosses that the likes of Coulson or Winn can produce to beat defenders running back.

He may get a chance today, but I think he was signed to develop for the future, he is not the finished article, but has potential. don't pin all your hopes on him or apply too much pressure to the lad. He is however keen and has a range of skills and I am sure is itching to get into the action.

Strange he's out of a job in 8 weeks then?

??????????????????

In his three stints as Grimsby Town manager spanning over 10 years the club was never relegated and he also guided them to three promotions.
Only 14 managers have reached 1,000 matches in charge of a Football League team by 1998 and Buckley is one of them.

Gave him a contract till the end of the season as almost an extended trial maybe?

I think he could have been brought it as an option if Hearn leaves/left.

We really haven't seen enough of him to judge him properly (though what we have seen seems good). We don't know if there'll be a contract extension - more than half of the squad are out of a job in 8 weeks, if I emember right!
