Speaking to a well respected member of the community yesterday and it was hinted that it may be possible to get the McMenemy players from the 1971-72 season to appear for the Southport home game.

Harry Wainman, Dave Worthington, Alan Campbell, Lew Chatterley, Clive Wigginton, Stewart Gray, Stuart Brace, Mike Hickman, Matt Tees, Dave Boylen, Allan Gauden and Alan Woodward were all mentioned.

Would be good to see them all again
