No it was Rob and their assistant, fourth official had to step in between them otherwise their assistant would have smacked Rob.

Not this time, it was Hursty, which is probably why Scott gave the after match interview.

From what I saw from the Pontoon, as he was lead away between the main and the control tower fans from the Main where trying to get at him!!

yep the assistant manger was led up the steps to the top of the control tower/police box and the player led away by the stewards appeared to give a w*nker gesture towards the main stand, in all a bit silly.  Shame they let their club down as the FGR fans seemed OK as spoke to a couple after the game and apparently their keeper has now saved 4 out of the last 5 penalties,

I was in the Osmond End of the Main Stand n got a great view of their assistant throwing several wild punches at Scott. I hope he isn't expecting a Chrimbo card.
If found guilty of violence, will he get banned from all sporting venues?

Get Paul Hurst and Gary Seward on the same touchline, a major last minute decision and I'd imagine there would always be something that was going to happen! Hockaday described it afterwards as purely 'handbags' which is what it was.

Speaking to Grimsby's press guys Hurst has already got a reputation for his aggressive side which many of you would have seen before when Hurst and his joint-manager Rob Scott were fined for their confrontation with their own fans a few months ago.


Saw this on the FGR forum, think he's a bit muddled up

Mr marinette seems to think it was Hurst, not Scott.  He said he saw a little podgy guy with glasses take a swing at him.
