They were very physical at Blundell Park at the start of the season, can see they've taken Thanoj out for this reason, Church gets stuck in more, Thanoj is a ball player.

thanoj out for church is a surprise as andi has been one of our best players recently..

obvious that they are thinking they want to win the midfield battle but church not being in the team recently and not having much game time means he will have to be on it straight away..

will see if this backfires tonight.

Duffy I can understand but why Thanoj he one of our best players on the ball and can pick out a very good pass it would serve us right if he looked else were it will be a very hard game to night and will be hard game to win utmm

This could be a reason. Dirty is the word though, not physical. Nice to have Elders back.

I agree about Elding, despite the fact that Duffy wins lots of headers, Elding works harder and has more pace and seems to link up better with Hearn

This league needs to realise that professional full time teams make up the majority of the sides and sort out the abysmal non league standards of refs. Why should we accept this poor standard from the refs and the conference just carry on like the teams are part time pub team of years ago.

Good point. Elding banned for two games for a dubious gesture, Rob Scott banished to the stands for losing his rag with a particularly inept official, and various other incidents...just when will these idiots in charge be held accountable for ruining the game?

At the begining of the season i'd say 90% of the fishy said we would come no higher than 10th and anything else would be a bonus and build for next. This season isnt over yet ethier, it may not look great but were still in with a shout. It amazes me the standard of officials in this league, and the sooner we get out of it the better.

Lets face it Refs arnt far off being traffic wardens or coppers,they was the kids at school that couldnt quite mix with the rest because they was excrement at footy .
Most if not all have never played the game to any sort of standard and that includes sunday league

Don't talk like like a pratt town bossed the game for most of the game against the to of the league team and if the tape of the game was watched by a jury I bet they would see that the ref gave thier side benefits from fouls also from the penalty which wasn't   at all  the game should be called none void and replaced because it was blatantly fixed 9NO I AM NOT A POOR LOOSER) utmm.

It just goes to show , that incidents like this make people think about going to games to see inept officials ruining games. No wonder attendances are falling, fans get peed off with ( by all accounts) blatantly obvious wrong decisions. I for one have not been bothered about watching the football( loose term) on the television as I am slowly losing interest in watching overpaid pansies throwing themselves on the floor and squealing like a pig to get free kicks or penalties.
As for referees in this league some leave a lot to be desired, and why did the conference appoint a referee from Hull, when there were refs available in the midlands( fact).
The sooner Grimsby Town start to apply some of the tactics that other teams inflict on us ( to great effect, and gain points) then the better chance we have of getting out of this pub league, which is being run by people who have no idea about football or how to organise fixtures, who in their right mind gives teams 3 games at home or away on the trot, surely it should be home , away, home , away etc no wonder teams struggle financially, the league has a lot to answer for in their organisational ineptness. I could go on but am tired and have to get up early for work.
