Just listening to the football weekly podcast on the Guardian webiste. They were debating whether this was the longest gap between two yellow cards in history for one game. He got booked in the first minute and then again after the final whistle and 5 minutes of stoppage time.

What a lemon.

No its not. For the incident after the final whistle he got a straight red I believe.

But yeah, he's a lemon.

wrong, it was a 2nd yellow making a red and also totting up 10 bookings, hence his 4 game ban

Ah ok I stand corrected I misread the article I read on it this morning.

He actually had a brilliant game from 50 seconds in to the final whistle. Shame he's such an idiot. Doesn't show any signs of learning/maturing either.

WRONG- His yellow card gave him a two match ban for totting up 10 bookings and the straight red after the whistle gave him another two. Hope that clears it up.

He certainly is but thankfully he stayed on the pitch for the entire match, something which seemed unlikely a minute in, especially to those of us who watch him regularly. Excellent point but so nearly three. After our recent history against that mob, particularly under Bruce, it's just refreshing not to lose.
