Gotta laugh at Crawley, sold their two strikers Tyrone Barnett, Matt Tubbs. Loss, Draw, Loss, Loss, and tonight a Draw against 10 man Southend after a deliberate hand ball but Southend goaly saved the penalty. Should of kept hold of the players till at least the end of the season, their still in a good position though, hope they keep screwing up though.

9 men for nearly 15 mins, and had three clear chances in that time.

Ahhh I just looked at the Sky Results quickly, did not notice that - even more funnier, hope they don't get promoted again. Guess the money is running dry, why sell best players when in that position at that time, doesn't make sense at all unless they needed the money to see the season through or something?

In the football league its something to do with you can only spend like what revenue you receive and the higher ups at Crawley thought their support would barrage higher after a promotion from the conference.

Crawley were on the Football League show and Evans said he didn't want to sell but the chairman mentioned silly money offers for the players so they had to accept them. Who knows if they were struggling financially but if they didn't need to sell then in hindsight, it looks like a right cockup.

I watched the match last night and Crawley were far superior to Southend and but for the heroics of their keeper Crawley would have won easily they are still a decent team. Can`t stand the fat non kilt wearer myself but thought I would add a bit of equality to the debate, they certainly have dipped a little in results recently but I would not write them off for the playoffs (typing that has broke keys on my PC)

football for ya think it had something as well to do with the wages being offered to to the players in question being better than what their on at Crawley as well(cant blame them people go where the money is). People talk about loyalty in football(there use to be more of this back in the day with the maximum wage in football) but ultimately players will do best for themselves and their family's footballs now more like a business than a sport shame but true anyone who saw the QPR documentary the other night will have seen further testament to this.Private investors looking to get rich of the loyalty of the normal working fan

They may have had to reduce their wage bill because of the rules in Leagues 1 and 2 which state you can only spend a certain percentage of your income. Tubbs' return to Bournemouth was influenced by the fact that it is his hometown club a well.
Football needs a licensing system similar to that which operates in rugby league to sort this mess out and one that includes controls for clubs spending andone which is adapted appropriately for the different steps in the pyramid.
