May i ask whoever takes the seat on the board, will they be as active as fenty, digging bore holes for water, fitting the lights on the floodlights, laying a new carpark at the training ground, climbing up ladders to fix speakers when its windy, doing the plumbing for the heating system, doing the electrics, fenty does all of the obove free of charge.

Surely that's a question for the Trust board?

I think that that the skills of the board are very diverse and although I can't speak on behalf of the rest of the board I'm sure there is a number of people that would happily donate their time for tasks.

I'm not going up the floodlights though. . .

hope you've got the correct qualifications to do those jobs squarkus - would hate to see you being sued for dodgy workmanship

I think you hit the nail on the head. . . what chairman of any organisation would do such things?  Delegation is a far more important skill than penny pinching!
