Hi, i know you keep getting hasseled about train tickets but I am just asking for a little bit of advice here. I am wanting to King Cross on Saturday 2nd June to see England at Wembley looking at getting the 5.30am train from Grimsby. What website do you use? and is it cheaper to use singles or get returns?

No point looking yet mate. The cheap tickets are only released 12 weeks in advance so won't be available for that date yet. Sometimes it takes a few days for them to appear too.

I book my tickets through Trans Pennine Express' website http://www.tpexpress.co.uk as they don't charge a booking fee or credit card fee like most sites do.

I'd look in a few days time but if the cheap tickets don't show up straight away keep checking back each day as they sometimes take a while to put them on. Usually you can get singles for £13 each way to Kings Cross.

We did it last year and found it easier to drive to Newark, also met a couple of other Town fans who caught the train to Newark via Lincoln.
