My memory's playing tricks on me. "Against a team who haven't won in 6 matches & conceded 15 in that time". I thought we were flying when we played this game? Thought this was around the time we went top? Well obviously it wasn't then

It was later in that season. We had gone top earlier after beating Barnsley and we were struggling badly when we went to Anfield. It was actually 7 games we had gone without a win.

I don't think I've ever had a feeling like that at a football match.  Unbelievable.

I remember falling off my seat while stood on it after that goal (I was 11 years old) and had some Liverpool fans off to the right still shouting abuse at us even after we went 2-1 up the little shites, hated Liverpool ever since.

Happiest day of my life. I was 14 perhaps, and they let any kids who were going to the game leave school early. I remember feeling absolutely devasated when mcAllister scored the penalty, then Broomes scurries in an equaliser. Still never believed we'd win it, then out of nowhere.....Just unbelievable.

Ah that's right Les! I can remember the Rotherham game before it now. They'd just gone up from div 2 and hadn't won a game yet, but then they came to us...  Remember the bubble had well and truly popped (regarding the league) after that game.

I remember shaving a couple of mm off my shin & making a strange squealing noise of excitement when that dipped in!
