I seem to remember a Lincoln(?) player blatantly punching the ball away in the box in our relegation season. The most obvious penalty I've ever seen and cost us a win that would have kept us up.

Sodje punching the ball clear at Bury a few seasons ago still sticks in the mind, but we had Tommy Forecast in goal and won so it made no difference

That was Herd, Villa player on loan at the time.

During the game, he scored their first goal then got booked before committing a further 3 bookable offences in the second half (which went unpunished) and then handled the ball in their area 2 or 3 times.

Horribly incompetent refereeing that day. If I was a conspiracy theorist, I'd be getting suspicious...
