It's been snowing here in York heavily since about 3 and has pretty much stopped now. What has the weather been like in Grimsby?

in cleethorpes we have had about 5 hours of snow couple of inches deep at least, absolutly no chance of game going ahead unless temperature rises suddenly to about 5 degrees plus from first thing in morning an lasts till saturday kick off

Snow usually isn't the reason the games are off, its the frozen pitch, and last night wasn't THAT cold if you went out in it to be honest. still a chance depends on that pitch! and the police? depending on the area around the ground

I remember the playoff year in December 2005 we were asked to go down and clear it for the Gimps game...i'm sure it was worse than it is now and we got that game on, it also gave the Gimps a great excuse for their poor travelling numbers, once again and the fact they were outplayed because apparently only they were hindered by the snow??

I suppose if there is a covering of snow with temperatures apparently going to drop surely the 'big dig' should happen tomorrow morning, the snow will protect the pitch, or so we've been told before...

I've got around 8 lads coming with me if needed to clear the snow. If everyone could bring a mate we would clear the pitch in less than an hour .

I think the pitch covers can protect up to -4 so I think we will be alright with the pitch .

Think it was a either last season or two seasons ago when all the youth team were there. There was around 80 people altogether and we got the pitch cleared in under two hours.

Blundell Park isnt covered with pitch covers last season when the weather was worse all they did was clear the snow as late as possible and had a local ref on stand by for an inspection if needed
