I think Redknap will get the job and spurs will let him go because they'll have Mourinio lined up.

I doubt it's much different to their Spanish, German and Italian counterparts, They earn similar money, have similar lifestyles etc. Personally I don't give a toss about any of it, I don't even bother reading about it, I'm only interested in football, their lives and conduct off it are of no interest to me.
The point I was getting at is that these are the so called "captains" of England. How do you expect a TEAM to work when INDIVIDUALS just want to play silly so and sos'. Terry alledgedly makes a racist remark to Anton, his brother Rio opens his mouth about it and before you know it so many Man Utd players are refusing to shake hands with Terry, no doubt Chelsea players won't like it either. That's a few England players refusing to even shake hands with each other never mind play together as a team.

It's almost as if the players have no respect for the manager. For me the next England manager has to be English I'm sick of foreign managers trying to change the way we play, our mentality, etc etc everybody knows how English players play. We are not the most techincal gifted but the way we play is shown everyday on skysports, pace, power harassing players. I think we have some fantastic young players coming through but I still think we need the more experienced pros to help them progress. I think Stuart Pearce will take over until the season ends and good old Arry to take over and I think we will see a different England team in the way we play premiership style with young players introduced. If their good enough to play in the prem then their good enough for international football. My Squad Gk Hart Carson Next up and coming keeper ie Ben Amos Def Richards Walker Johnson Cole Baines Gibbs Lescott Jones Smalling Jagielka Cahill C Dawson Mid Gerrard Parker Johnson Downing Young Walcott Lennon Milner A Chamberlain Wiltshire Rodwell Barry Fwd Bent Rooney Sturridge Welbeck Carroll Crouch Defoe Plenty to work with

The reason we aren't winning and haven't won anything is because we aren't good enough...the English game works in England but has been proven to fail in major competitions, even in Europe teams now adapt a more technical and European style. There isn't a decent English manager out there, Harry is simply alright. I'm sure in the next day or so some clown will even mention that other slobber chops crook at West Ham too...
May be if the so called 'amazing' England players bothered to actually play, Rooney, Terry etc rather than just run around a bit that might help...Rooney has been a disgrace in an England shirt this year, Rio is past it, Terry isn't good enough and Lampard just hasn't got the legs. Gerrards been injured although i do think he is still a vital part of the team as is Ashley Cole. The players coming through aren't good enough in all honesty either, only time will tell if they are but how many times have we heard or spoken of a 'golden generation' only for it to be more of a 'copper' colour...
I hink this is very much Fabio saying to the FA, if you are gonna make decisions about my team for me then i'm off...its happened at club level...sad thing is, England need Fabio more than he needs England...

I never thought of Holloway, that would be awesome. True passion, grit and commitment. Harry Redknapp or Holloway as a long shot for me.

Best English player week in, week out this season in the premier league has to be Leighton Baines... Although Cashley was our best player at the WC he's seemed pretty anonymous this season! Holloways a great shout, the nation would be behind him (even the press) and I think we would avoid many of the scandals that've hit us on recent tours...
On th flip side, it may end up like Mike Bassett! That film becomes more n more like reality with each new manager we have!
Ah well, up the England, three cheers for Ramirez!

Whoever it is needs to get David Stockdale in to push Joe Hart. I'm personally hoping Beckham gets the job.

1225: - FA PRESS CONFERENCE FA general secretary Alex Horne said at the press conference: "Fabio felt that the best thing to do was resign. We thought the best thing to do was accept that position. There was no point having a manager who did not want to be in the job. It was the right decision to accept it [Fabio Capello's resignation].
Ha, so when you resign you walk away with nothing. ....yeh right.
£1.5 million seems to be the rate being quoted.....nice work FA.
