When I went to Tamworth last season it was cheaper to buy a single each way Grimsby to Sheffield, a day return from Sheffield to Derby, and another day return from Derby to Tamworth.


Grimsby to Sheffield singles £6 each (£12 total)
Sheffield to Derby return £10.20
Derby to Tamworth £13.30 (Not the £13.20 return as that doesnt inculde any trains after 3.10pm from Derby)

Total £35.50
