I'd like to see him back, think since he came into the squad we got stronger and although I sometimes think what the hell is he doing, I think he's worth signing IMO.

I was i two minds from what I'd seen of him but the NYD match sealed it for me, thought he was great and looked like he'd settled into the team, less panicky thumping away and a little/lot more composure.

Oooh, hope there's something in that. Would love Panther back we missed him today (and Brad).

Town are probably just saving having to pay his wages for the month he's banned

Am I right in thinking we can't get him again onloan? We had to renew when he was still here and that has to be till the end of the season???

I cant see it happening to be honest because if hes not signed to ANY club hows he serving his ban because if he hasnt served the ban elsewhere he will have to serve it here as soon as he re-signs

His parent club is Aldershot. He serves the ban for them while registered with them.

Yep reading too much into it me thinks... Not saying he won't come back but there is nothing in them messages to suggest he's got any idea's that he's coming back here...

He is still contracted to Aldershot who played today, so that's 1 game of his ban gone regardless if whether he would have been picked! Like grimps said above, it made no sense for town to sign him whilst on a 3 match ban, if he is on £600 a week for example then that's £1800 saved (it all adds up)!

He is clearly not wanted at Aldershot (they wouldn't want a fee to get shot of him IMO) he is clearly rated by the gaffers (played every game he was here)

IMO it is already agreed that he will move once his ban finishes (hopefully)!

Be good to see him back, anyone who thinks hes not good at his job obviously knows naff all about football.

Didnt get to the game today but we sounded like we missed him. He seems like a player that you dont notice but plays a key part in the teams overall performance. Would be nice to see him back IMO

Panther - slow, highly annoying, frustrating, not pretty, rummaging, just plain gets in the way, sticks a long leg in ......... and very much missing at the heart of the game today !

The second half seemed to roll over to Alfreton just running through at will for periods until we scored the fourth.

You never really saw him or took notice..... but what he did was effective.... and needs to be replaced, or better teams will roll us over !!

I took particular notice on New Year's Day.

After a couple of comments on here, and watched what he did when he'd tackled or blocked !

He rarely runs but ambled into a position to be passed to in front of the back four.... the release ball when needed, the break up pressure ball, the simple 1st clearance from a centre half or full back, looking to pick up an opposition runner.

Not the glory jobs, but the hard work with no viewable rewards!

Let's see who settles into a similar ( and successful ) role over the next month, eh ??

How many players at clubs that are not wanted get paid off, first and formost S&H are right seeing that Manny is contracted to Aldershot we cannot afford him HOWEVER, the whole situation changes if Manny can get reasurances that if he wants his contract terminating he has something to come to i.e. us.  If that makes sense  

I'd imagine that Aldershot would be pleased to get rid of him as he's obviously not in their plans. I'm sure they would release him with a minimal pay-off if he wants to come here. This assumes that we either match his wage or offer a longer contract at slightly reduced terms.

Oh, he'd need to actually want to come here as well.

I get the impression he's on decent money there and was previously more than happy to let his contract run down (didn't he activate an extra year last summer, despite knowing he wasn't in Holdsworth's plans?)

Now he's nearer the end of his deal and rediscovered his love for the game (source: @Mannypanther8 ), I wouldn't be surprised if he resurfaced at Town towards the end of the month.

I would be very surprised if he doesn't come back. The only reason he won't will be if we sign a similar sort of player.

Good player Manny bit worried we might miss him Tues at Cambridge would love to see him back sitting in front of our back four letting Disley get forward.

well church didn't play today and i would suspect that he didn't want to play against alfreton and may have faked his back injury (alledgely) but i bet he plays against Cambridge lol
