Did anyone else have their bottle tops removed on Saturday (apparently drinks with tops on were a higher risk for that game), only to find that you could buy bottles in the ground with their top in place?

Silly un-necessary rule - PLEASE STOP IT!





P.S. can't moan about the football as present, so moaning about everything else! LOL


If the football is bad you can always watch the gulls.

Didn't notice about the bottle tops but your so right about the moaning about everything else. It really makes a pleasant change.

yeah, it happened to me in the Main Stand on Sunday. Couldn't beleive it when people were buying drinks inside the ground and having the tops left on

No tops on bottles at all in most grounds as they can be refilled with liquid n hurled onto the pitch. But at least town could gather them back up for recycling!

In the heady days of league football I had the top of my bottle of water taken before going through the turnstiles at Accrington which seemed to just be a bit embarrasing for myself and the steward who had to remove it.

My misses got hers taken of her the funny thing was that I was waking in front with mine and didn't even get stopped same for a few blokes that was near me.

Although I have had runnings with this steward before the one with that rank scar on his neck, he's a right moron. I think he didn't want another confrontation with me so the way I see was he only asked the women.

was in the upper findus, friend got his taken off him in the stand, i dont think the people handing them out realised they had to be taken off

burger van staff near Main Stand were told to ask fans to take the bottle tops off and they had a container to put them in.
