Guest User	Can't believe how fat Mabbutt was! Nice to see King Futcher although he had to go off injured. I remember the atmosphere was electric with 17500 iinside Blundell Park.

They sold over 18000 tickets for that game ,it was another fiddle because i couldnt see 1000 not turning up

Think we had about 15/16,000 v Aston Villa a couple years later in the FA Cup. Would also love to see that Paul Groves equaliser in that game where The Pontoon absolutely erupted when he powered it home! “What has Alan Buckley got in his pocket!"
