When Elding was at Stockport first time around he was idolised by the fans as a real leader of the team and really struggled after moving on from there. Is it too much to hope that he has found a 'home' in GTFC?
UTM
Could make sense he was born in Boston wasn't he?

Not looking so great for the Imps with new signings. Despite trying to make things sound exciting by calling the thread 'All going on at Lincoln', the replies kind of pop this particular balloon of optimism, particularly the first one...

http://www.lincoln.vitalfootball.co.uk/forum/category-view.asp Gone full circle and we're back to how lovely it must be to live in Lincoln compared to Grimsby. Pity Miller and others don't see it that way
the website for them always makes me laugh, with the words lincoln and vital together

Id be getting his new contract written up know!
You could say the same about I'Anson too. I guess it's a money/planning issue and we're waiting to see how things partly pan out this season before deciding what to do next. Like asking the trust the budget size ? Though whether it's right to wait on every single player or not, I'm not sure - guess it depends on individual wages, circumstances etc. If Fenty's waiting to see how things pan out, guess he's probably doing the right thing but it may well be worth tying down some now regardless. Elding wouldn't be at the top of my list tbh, as an older player he could be on a fortune. But it all depends how much value you think they represent and how replaceable you think they are...

LHanson is a must sign ASAP, big future talent n we would want more than his youth system value at tribunal. A two year deal with option of 3rd, with huge buy out clause included. Coulson also but want more consistency from him over 90 mins. Elding yep extend his deal. However it seems the duo are not ones for giving long contracts. Maybe they think players might get complacent n feel safe n drop standards? It's a gamble with your better performing players being tapped up though! UTM

He has got an 1 year option on his current deal. (But this could be the same clause that was in Connell's contract)
I think the one year extension is in the hands of the club not the player. Maybe it is sensible to keep him firing on all cylinders to ensure we trigger the extension?

I personally think it's down money and what the club have said before about maybe having to offer one year contracts - guess the last thing they want is to be saddled with loads of long expensive contracts they might be stuck with again if things do go wrong.
