Another great night last night at the "Beachy". Dave Boylen, Terry Donovan and the rest of the committee deserve loads of credit for continuing to come up with a great set of guests.
Garry Birtles was particularly good. Very honest about the fact that his whole body had gone by the end of his spell at Town. Reckoned the best players he played with at Town were John Cockerill and Shaun Cunnington who he described as "hunting in pairs".
Alan Birchenall has, shall we say, "lived a bit". Told a great story about Raquel Welch coming into the dressing room at Chelsea and the party she invited Birch and Peter Osgood to after the game.
All wrapped up with a great comedian Mick Miller who the older posters may remember was one of the stars of The Comedians way back. These modern comedians should watch his act. They would learn somewthing...

The aim of argument or discussion should not be victory but progress.

I was blessed to start supporting Town at the same time as Cunnington and Cockerill were at the club.  I was literally in awe of the pair of them.  Were they as good a midfield combination as any that had gone before or have older Town fans enjoyed better combos?

Sounds like a good night.
