Love the bit where Livvo leaves the ball to run for Donovan to score while blocking the defender. Donovan's final winner was similar if I remember correctly. That time, Jack Lester knocked the defender out of the way with the same result.

After Livo turned his man to put Donovan in I'm convinced time stood still of a second or two and the the whole crowd froze, then went mental as it hit the back of the net. Similar to the game at Reading in the cup in 1989 when Jobling took it round the keeper in injury time then seemed to take an age to knock it into the empty net.

Get goosebumps watching that, it looks so dated as well yet it only seems like yesterday. Some of the football played that season was absolutely fantastic.

lol When I heard Al Fayed was arranging that and then he berated the Fulham fans who questioned what it had to do with football for not being appreciative of his contribution I thought he'd lost the plot again...does anyone else think it was bad, bad, really really bad

No, but it was definitely Dangerous, inciting all those Fulham fans like that. It's only Human Nature to be upset when someone wants to put up a completely inappropriate statue outside of your place of worship. Maybe I'm Too Young to appreciate MJ's music, but I'd just feel like a Stranger in Moscow if there was a statue of Elvis or Madonna outside BP.

Made up for what seemed a high number of 0-4 defeats at craven cottage in the 80s and the Reading game in the season of the haddock is a personal favourite

AB words at the end, "you can't promise anything when you come to a football club, we just try and get the ball down and play"
I really feel for our younger fans, they haven't seen first hand some of the quality we have, hopefully H&S will give these younger fans something to cheer about, a team to be proud of and BP will again become that cauldron of noise we grew up with.

| Supporting the Mighty Mariners for over 30 years, home town club is were the heart and soul is and it's great to be a part of it.
Jesus’ disciple Peter, picked up a fish to get the tribute money from it, Jesus left his thumb print on the fish, bless'ed is the Haddock. |

What a night. We were flipping awesome that year. I know a fulham season ticket holder and still says that as soon as he walked into BP that night he knew they would lose. He claims the atmosphere was almost frightening for them.
What a goal. intercourse me, it almost brings you to tears. The more think about it, it was certainly our best season ever, in my life time anyway...

I did bring me to tears a bit, god we were good then. Absolutely disgraceful behaviour from the Fulham players around the sending off, nearly as bad as their fans spitting on Lever as he was carried off at their place. I despise Fulham because of all that. However, it really is not about them, it's about one of the greatest nights in recent GTFC history, it should be shown to all the AB haters and shoved up their arses. You'd stick pins under your finger nails to be as good as that again. The wheel will turn again and we'll soon be back snubbing our noses at those who look down on us again. UTFM

Damn you Chris lol, when I watch one of these clips I can't resist watching all the others! The truth is though you don't know what you've got till it's gone. Such great times but largely taken for granted.
