Reputation Scores

Hi Fellow mariners, i'm hoping someone can help me how does the reputation scores work, i've been given 7 positive votes (not sure why lol) how do i give other members a + or -

Just click on the + or - under their name.  As for how it works, there's a formula somewhere that explains it, don't ask me I haven't got the foggiest

Click on the + symbol to the right of Reputation Score:


Or click - if the need arises  

ah..i see well who designed that haha....thanks guys....i can start dishing out some rep scores now i know.

its a shame you dont know why you got a + or - just who gave you it.

You can - go into your personal profile and the list is there for new ones, not sure about older ones!

Hmm imust be thick as ....haha....i can see who has given me the scores and i thank u, but i cannot see why they game me or what threads it was relating too...thats all.

it doesnt tell you why you got it only who from and how long ago

actually i wonder if this can be added to a wish list as it would be good to know why i.e. have a + or - against the thread of the user.  This way you would be able to see that you got a + because of the post you did etc.

I just thought you seemed a pleasant, polite fella/lass and not everyone is on this board. Wasn't any particular post. In fact I'm not sure I've given anyone a + for just one post. They're either sound as a pound, funny or both, that's my +ing criteria!

Why thanks mate, i'm pretty pleasant Les can vouch for me i'm sure (he's seen me play sunday league etc) i use to be gun ho about town when i was younger but i take a more reserved approach these days.  and like anyone i like a decent conversation \ debate.

Not everyone! Some people just like to insult, though thankfully people like that are in a small minority.

I dont think i have debated with a complete twit yet....well apart from non GTFC fans....but i think most of the fans that are probably insulting either dont mean to be and are still getting over the 10 years of decline or coming to terms with life in BSP.  I'm quite forgiving.....and i dont really hold grudges.  And i respect all debates, opinions and views.  At the end of the day everyone of us has GTFC in his heart and all want Town to do well.

Understand your view and think Meza mads a great point with that comment too, but overall, is this a football forum or a social networking site ?

If I think someones opinions are misguided or may affect the club I love(which I accept may not happen anyway but at the end of the day we're all here and have a voice..), I can't leap in and give them a + just because I like them (and I think Meza is one of the nicest people on here).
Nor will I foster petty grudges and give someone a - just because I don't like them.  
Many (aaron being the obvious example) see it as a popularity contest but I'm not criticising, it's entirely up to them.

I Give + to people who make me laugh or a good contributor to the fishy,i dont gove +s out to recieve any back,i am a giving person,people who critisize and name call do not get a + off me though.

Force retirement BC I use to play for park lane (div 1), piper services, the cricketers, jacobeans, the empire, spiders web, Blossom way, Carr lane social, and smugglers there's more but can't remember I have played for a couple of Lincoln teams as that's were I moved to.  Les Brechin was our secretary when I was playing for smuggles.  My mrs is a nurse and was impossible for me to commit every Sunday.

I'm not one for blowing my own trumpet CM but I was ok I actually enjoyed my best times whilst in div 3 & 4 won the league with the cricketers several moons ago would have loved to at BP but never managed to get the the finals.  Les Brechin knows me well so he should be able to give me an honest assessment lol i'm not bad im a tireless striker / winger who had decent pace.  As the years have gone by I have played in every position which I find incredible more attack minded so defense ain't my strength

I played too meza,i use to play for grimsby boys in 1982,also played for the navy team when i was in the navy,didnt get to play much sunday league unfortunately,i was a right midfield,had a decent cross on me and decent at set pieces too,still keep my hand in and play 5 a side on saturday nights,im nearly 42 now, me legs are not working like they use to now unfortunately  

If only the prem players can cross a ball lol.  I'm 36 and never had a bad injury if I have good pre-season I could quite easily play for a few years but just haven't got the time anymore I still want to play which I think makes it harder as i didn't decide to retire etc I was forced.  I still have decent pace but as you know with age you always lose that extra yard of pace.  I also played for crows nest 2nd in div 3.  I do manage the odd 5 aside with lads from work in a Lincoln league.

We should start a fund raising five-a-side for charity one time, maybe for cancer research or a similar charity, I'm sure folk would be up for that?

Good idea mate maybe the funds can go towards Matty or Cancer Research as you said I'll be up for that I do visit my family in Grimsby every other week I know Steve Wraith I wonder if he can get the BP for a night (Steve Wraith use to my footy manager for SW Cricks / smugglers) maybe he's still manager Les Brechin might know

I'm actually useless at this organising lark unfortunately the only thing I can do is pm Les for Steve Wraiths number (Towns accountant) and ask some questions other than that try to book some other pitch maybe the new Bradley pitches i guess it depends on how many are interested we may end up with 4 teams lol but I know 1 thing we have 2 so far.

Exactly,might be worth having a word with Les,i am deffinately up for this,it would be a good challenge and to help the cancer research just tops it off,i have done a lot for charity in the past and theres no better feeling than helping.

I wonder if ex players would be interested hmm I might email JF I have no idea

Wraithy is still managing SW Steelers in Div 2. Les is secretary

I would recommend that this is removed as certain older posters will be having blood pressure problems as they read this.

Basically Meza's effort in arranging Matty's game. He's obviously well learned in local footy.

Think you're a really top bloke so it's nothing personal - I just allocate reputation ratings on football comments, not whether I like people.
There are some posters I don't particluarly like but if they talk sense I'll mark them up.

i know what you are saying about me preffering brad to ridley but that it beacuse i am worried about ridley's pace i know brad can be caught out of postion at times but he is still young a year younger then me infact. he played over 50 apps last season and did a good job was one of the standouts in my opinion as i know brad on a personal level i know he gives 100% everytime he puts on the black and white stripes. he finds it hard playing left because he has to stop and start running with the ball on the left beacuse he is right footed. did you see his reaction at luton away when he cleared the ball off the line but the goal was given? im glad i wasnt that goal post! i would have a left footed brad over ridley any day!

For me, it's not so much he's caught out of position, it's that when a right winger is running at him and jinks right, he's got to turn to his left - very difficult for a right sided player and quite often then he can't stop the winger cutting inside him and opening us up.
But yeah, Ridley's pace is a concern and not knocking Bradders in the slightest, top player !

yes i do agree bard has said he find its hard on the left but he will play anywere for the team he just needs to carm his temper which ave told him but like hes say's its the way he play's.
