I know all about attendances and that and it's whats on the pitch that matter but how the hell do Hayes & Yeading survive with gates like that tonight. I'm assuming Bath would have had a few there so probably less than 150 home fans!!

I suppose not playing at their own ground doesn't help matters but it does make you think...

Aren't they playing at Woking? Not exactly local, and they don't have that many fans as it is tbf.  But yeah it does make you wonder how they pay wages.

The end is near,

PS.  Have they got any good players we can knick ?

So as long as the fan pay £14.50 each to get in then the wages are paid. Its just that wages are not the only overhead in running a football club!!!!

Add to that the travel expenses as they have no home ground....it's a shame but it all seems rather impractical.

Think they might have to pay some taxes, national insurance on players wages, then there are non playing staff and stuff on top of that. . . . also tax on their ticket sales, maintenance, staff wages, cleaning, kit etc etc

as far as im aware our budget is between 50-60k this season. We Dont run coaches for night games we Dont spend what we havent got. No training facilities to pay for as we own them moving into our New ground next season so Hayes will still be around

If you can survive on money like that then very good luck to you. I'm sick of all the money people in footie and how they often leave the fans in desperation when they pull out. Will Crawley be next, or Fleetwood or whoever. At some point the bubble is gonna burst on all this money and players chasing the extra buck to move on - not that it's their fault, because it isn't.

If a club can survive on team spirit etc. then good on yer.

Fair play if they survive on that sort of revenue but may be their finishing positions reflect in their budgets. They are probably very happy in the conference.

They must be payin the guys summat, or they've or good jobs on top of their football money, all their players turned up in new or nearly new mercedes last year at their place...

the 3g pitches would keep us going alone, they say the corporate side pays out more than the paying spectator which is more than likely in our case.
strangely enough i wouldnt mind being relegated i enjoyed the conference south being given trips to gateshead and barrow on tuesday nights is not something im looking forward to

Do you think the new ground will pull in a few more fans?

All the best looney tunes, at the end of the day , and with all due respect, small clubs like yourselves at this level could teach the so called bigger clubs a thing or two on how to run a business.
Dont accept any snobbery from anyone on here who are amazed how you survive on such small gates as in all reality we run at 700,000 loss a season and therefore are not in any position to preach.

not sure if more fans will turn up from when we were at church road. Depends how many weve lost due to a season at woking normally a New ground means more fans Hopefully some yeading fans will go to games when were at the warren next season or whatever they call it perhaps some Brentford if theyre away but the locals sadly Dont seem to want a club too many premiershit clubs nearby qpr or chelsea the preferred choice

At the other end of the scale, Udine has a population which is almost exactly the same as Grimsby and their catchment area is of similar size too. How come Udinese are playing Arsenal in the Champions League Qualifiers in front of 30,000 people whilst Town are playing Cambridge in front of 2,000?

They sold it. They're currently building a new stadium/leisure complex on the site of the old Yeading ground but for this season they are playing at Woking (about 20 miles away) until their new stadium is ready at the start of next season.

Yeah Hayes will still be around -they are living the high life mixing it with the likes of us at the minute and loving it. Would not want to take it on as a business proposition personally but never underestimate the will to succeed of wealthy supportive backers around any given club.
