Trevor Whymark away at Leicester in a mid week game at the back end of the season from the edge of the area. We needed the win to keep away from the relegation zone, while Leicester were pushing for promotion. If my memory serves me right he scored twice as we won 2 nil.

A bit of a curveball but Tommy Watson against Bristol City. We won 2-1 after going a goal down which was scored by Andy Cole and I cant remember if Watsons was the equaliser or winner but either Gilbert or Childs delivered their usual top quality cross met by an absolute thunderbolt of a header from Watson.

Big Keith against Wimbledon too.

Andy Todd away at Wolves. Great moment.

it was, wasn't it! Imperious.

Wolves' season fell apart after that. They had started selling 'premier league' season tickets before Town arrived at Molineux. They bottled it after that, chucking away a big points lead. West Brom got promoted instead

Pat Glover and Tommy Briggs scored a few good headers as well as Rafferty and Tees,

I did see the last 3 but Pat Glover was even before my time.

If I'm thinking of the same game I think it was the equaliser. The winner was Mendonca from outside the box in the last minute. It took a massive deflection and looped over their keeper.

I can never remember Briggs, I know I saw him play but I simply can't remember him.
