I wouldnt put Millfields in the top 5 but that is my opinion.

Beeches, Dovedale, The Granary are all rated by different people. Depends on mood & interpretation of 'nicest'

Last time I went to Millfields the food was awful, that was about a year ago though and I've not been back since.

I reckon you will do well to beat The Dovedale Hotel in Albert Road, Cleethorpes for quality, service and value for money. I also think Shires in Waltham High Street is good too but the last time I went to The Beeches I was not impressed to be honest. The food was not that brilliant and value for money was very poor.

I havent been to The Beeches for a while and although on my last visit the food was very good, I didnt warm to the atmosphere and the service was not great.

My understanding of the Dovedale is that it very much depends upon which chef is on duty

I've been to the Dovedale about half a dozen times now Chris and I've been well impressed every time. The staff are excellent from the moment you walk through the door until the time you leave and the food there has always been superb when I have been and around £25 per person for a 3-course meal is excellent value for money seeing as its definitely not your normal run-of-the-mill pub grub.

I have never had a bad meal in the Othello in Top Town.  Mind you, I nearly always go for stake. But others I have dined with have seemed to enjoy it too.

The wife was going away for a girly weekend.
I jokingly remarked  'I don't know whether to spend it watching porn or watching football'
'you may as well spend it watching porn' she replied
That's understanding darling what makes you say that? I asked

She said 'Well you already know how to play football'

Whoops,  However, in my defence, please see my post on the "do you believe in God" thread.

Granary for me, never rushed, acres of space around your table and food always spot on, it is seafood orientated but i have always found them to be accommodating of my veggie ways, wine has always been decent too.
Dovedale i was very much looking forward to going there following numerous reports of good quality, left very disappointed.
Pre drinks in the bar area was overrun with gay couples, nothing against that in principal but dont want to see men kissing each other before i sit down for food.
i chose my starter on the strength of it containing pine nuts which i love, but not a single one found in my dish, a word to the waiter resulted only in a i will tell chef, my main was also disappointing, greasy. Wine was overpriced for the quality, in my opinion too.Pudding was the only part of the experience i couldnt moan about.
