Felt a bit emotional listening to Artell’s interview with Matt Dean. The bloke is doing a great job and you can feel the passion he has and how much he appreciates the efforts of his players and the majority of fans. Then he has to put up with idiots giving him grief from the main stand. These idiots should stay at home. The club is on the up from top to bottom and we don’t have time for people that can’t see that.

Most people in senior roles, particularly public ones, will be subject to dissent at some point in their careers. That’s especially true for football managers, rightly or wrongly.
The important thing is to take note of who’s doing the dissenting. Anyone mouthing off at Artell for that performance, against a good side like Notts County, in the position we’re in, and from the position we were in when he arrived, is by definition as thick as mince.
Not worth giving it time and space in his mind. Dust yourself down and move on.

Probably true but after our recent run it was probably the breathtaking idiocy of that small gang of f***wits to launch a personal attack, claiming he doesn’t actually care about what he’s doing, that particularly bothered him as opposed to fans moaning about tactics, selection etc. Criticism comes with the territory but getting that from people supposedly supporting the club must catch even those with the thickest skin off guard sometimes.

It's a fickle world - football - as said previously on another thread someone will not be feeling to bright this morning but DA is a big boy and am sure he will move on.

Unfortunately the other side of doing well is it brings all the glory hunters out of the woodwork looking for their own feel good buzz by being at a winning game, when they don't get their fix they act like this.

It's the world we live in sadly, but if anything offensive and personal was said I'm sure the club would have a word with the perpetrators.
Otherwise Artell will know there are people like that at every club and you just have to rise above it, hard though it is. I'm sure he will get a lot of support on Saturday.

It's something that seems to be getting worse with the onslaught of social media, everyone's a coach and expert now and the xxx amount of likes they get proves that, apparently. Hope Artell doesn't take it too seriously, crazy thing is we beat the league leaders 3 days earlier who now have a sizeable group of fans who want their manager gone. Top of the league🙄 Had the score been in reverse last night the Notts fans who want their manager gone would have quadrupled. 4th place🤪

Genuinely think the club should have a word with them and say if you're going to keep giving a club employee dog's abuse at every opportunity, you're going to have to move seats.
Absolutely understand people are allowed to voice their opinions, but this has gone beyond that imo - these are people who just want to shout abuse at our manager regardless of how he / we have been doing. If they can't behave, they should sit elsewhere (or preferably not come at all)
