The Barrington song is quietly becoming a new favourite of mine, but through years of loud music I can’t quite make out the words. Can anyone drop a song sheet in here please?

Quick point. Am not a huge admirer of Barrington, but I've rarely seen a player so distraught at a run of the mill league game as Barrington was after his late miss on Saturday. He desperately tried to avoid the post match celebrations, bit eventually gave in after the intervention of several players and Sean Pearson. Still stood to the side tho! But if that is the thing that gives him the kick up the backside to show he is actually worth £5million then happy days

I think that just exposed his youth and inexperience, just part of his development process. Personally I think he'll be decent but at what level who can tell now?

Feel like he's going to be one of those young players we get for his first ever loan where he learns a lot from it but we don't get to see the best of him. Can see him going somewhere else next season and being a world beater. Luker already had a loan spell with Woking last season so he's already got over his first senior season jitters and adjusted in a more physical league than this one before coming to us so he's coped better with the physical side of the game. I think Barrington has been a bit unlucky when he's had chances and not put them away, he clearly has ability but sometimes gets bullied too easily. Svanthorsson was the same when he first started playing for us, looked like Bambi on ice, got pushed off the ball and lost it too easily but he's flying now. Sometimes have to let players get through a bad spell and it often takes just one good game to build that confidence up. Barrington looked like he lacked the confidence we saw from Luker in an almost identical chance being put through on goal and he took too many touches trying to walk it in the net.

He looked really annoyed when Rose took the ball to the corner flag instead of crossing to him in the middle minutes before he was through 1 on 1. A good learning experience for the lad

When he gets the chance (even a tough one) with the ball at his feet in the box, or near the edge of the box, he's simply got to put his foot through it. He's trying to make a chance a better one but we know how that usually turns out.

If Barrington reacts in a similar manner to how Luker did on Saturday, after his sliced shot last Tuesday, then he is odds on for a hat trick tonight !!
Now that would be worth watching and enjoying !!

Being hard on himself and upset about missing a chance to score can only be a good thing for a young player as he makes his way in the professional game. It's a team sport but it's played by a group of competitive individuals all trying to create the best career possible for themselves. I'd be more concerned if he had just laughed and shrugged it off as it was basically the last kick of the game.
