I can't imagine getting so worked up about something so unimportant in the grand scheme of things which is irrelevant to pretty much everybody involved in football. Here's a good excerpt from the BBC article:
Quoted Text
BBC Sport has been told over the past decade there have been about 70 transgender footballers among the many millions of players who take part in the grassroots game on a weekly basis. We cannot verify the exact number as the register of players in this category is confidential.
70 people over the course of a decade. Out of many millions. Doesn't seem lose your excrement-worthy to me, but each to their own.

Sounds like you don't have any women in your life. Can we abandon the cheap jibes now?

What I object to is this craze of putting an X in between 2 things.

https://gtfc.co.uk/silent-auction-signed-rainbow-ball/And signal to your friends how you celebrate men playing in the women's game. How many more medals and victories will be denied to women in football, boxing, swimming and athletics in 2025? How proud our women's squad must be that our men's team have signed this piece of PUMA/EFL woke washing. Some of the issues summarised below :- https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/articles/cvgk0w726w1o
Right, have I missed something. A rainbow football to promote fan inclusivity in football is now woke, seriously? The opposite of such being not to be inclusive. Genuinely what is wrong with promoting inclusion in the sport, why do we have to get so wound up about stuff? As for how proud our woman's squad must be, I wont assume to speak on their behalf... however it should be noted that until 1971 women were banned from even playing football. So I think it would be a safe assumption to make that many will understand the value of inclusivity in football, because until then women weren't and whilst times have changed to some degree, they faced all sorts of stigma in attending a "blokes" game for many years. This, unless I've missed something, is saying everyone no matter their sexual orientation is welcome in the football family. The arguement you're progressing, again unless I've missed something, is something completely different. Edit: A quick google seems to suggest, as I thought, this is about fan inclusion. https://www.efl.com/news/2025/.....rns-for-second-year/

Let’s not confuse supporting human rights with ‘woke washing’. It’s about giving everyone a fair go, regardless of who they are. Our women's squads are probably prouder to be part of a club that stands for the rights of all players than one that wins by excluding others. Don’t let sensationalism cloud the real issues. Football is for everyone, and every step we take towards inclusivity is a step towards a better game. Let’s focus on that, shall we?

The billionaires who own most of our media must pìss themselves laughing at the Pavlovian cry of "woke" to anything inclusive. People are so easily distracted and enraged by trivialities
