Harrogate have got a good player. Must have taken a decent size wage cut to play for them though. I wish him well, he did a job for us and was disappointed when he left.

With 6 months left on his deal, he's managed to guarantee himself a wage until the end of June 2027.

Said earlier, there's a reason he's had to drop back down a league, fantastic lad and will never forget how he changed that game against Notts County, when Cal Roberts ran us ragged but I suspect all the injuries are finally catching up with him, mind you, look how both their careers have panned out, never thought Roberts would end up in  the NLN.

£3k a week though courtesy of Dave five names who didn't care as he never intended paying him anyway.

15 goals and 6 assists from 27 games for Roberts this season from attacking midfield/out wide.

That's a phenomenal return at any level, even if it is sixth-tier of the English game and includes efforts against the likes of Needham Market, Rushall Olympic and Spennymoor Town.

You've got to imagine there was quite a few L2 clubs who took a glance at him this window and then ran a mile when they saw his contract.  Out of contract in the summer, he'll do very, very well to get close to this current deal.

The fact he went from the 3rd best club in Scotland after they paid a big fee for him on a 3 year deal to a year later signing for NLN Scunthorpe is mental. I imagine he'll have his fair share of suitors, wouldn't shock me to see him end up at York on a better contract than his current as their owner spends money like it's not his own... oh wait it isn't
