I certainly hope that this indicates we've got at least one striker lined up to join in the transfer window. Artell has been happy enough to play him when he's been fit (which isn't very often), so I can't see us sending him out on loan if we didn't have another striker coming in.

My thoughts exactly. Its of no benefit to us financially  if we are still paying a large percentage of his wages.

But we can all sit back and relax as we wont have to moan when he is named in our match day squad.

If, as rumoured, he's one of our highest earners then I doubt they're paying all of them!

I don't think he was anywhere near the worst we have had , actually not a bad option on his day - he might do well at Eastleigh . The languid style , fitness and never actually playing the position he did at league 1 level didn't help his cause .

Glad he's gone but don't wish him badly in his future endeavours .

Don't forget his uncle Arthur works at the bank. He'll be fine.

“Stupid boy”

Love Dad’s Army, still watch it now.

Wish him well, no player gets injured on purpose. As noted above this suggests we have an incoming.

on the richter scale of commitment I give you Pyke as opposed to Evan/Cam (&he probably costs more than the pair of them put together)

For a striker, Pyke would probably make a good full-back.

Remember back in the day when there were claims that we'd signed Serge Makofo because we'd mixed up his name with another player at the same club? It makes me wonder if there was a decent striker called Sykes at Shrewsbury.

Did we have a scout with terrible handwriting?
