Artell has been happy enough to play him when he's been fit (which isn't very often), so I can't see us sending him out on loan if we didn't have another striker coming in.

The languid style , fitness and never actually playing the position he did at league 1 level didn't help his cause . Glad he's gone but don't wish him badly in his future endeavours .

Remember back in the day when there were claims that we'd signed Serge Makofo because we'd mixed up his name with another player at the same club? It makes me wonder if there was a decent striker called Sykes at Shrewsbury. Did we have a scout with terrible handwriting?
