From a couple of the players Instagram pages it looks like we are having a mini winter break for at least part of this week; Jordan Wright is in Reykjavik, Jordan Davies is in the Canary Islands. I don't personally begrudge them taking a few days off for a prolonged recovery after a busy festive period, just thought it was interesting as I don't believe we've done this kind of thing before, especially with a game next weekend.

I thought the same too. Khouri gone away also. I wonder if it signals that the management focus in the early part of this week will be on movement in/out. You would imagine players will be back in Wednesday or Thursday latest.

Jordan Wright goes to Reykjavik??? Usually you go somewhere warm for a winter break, not our Jordan, he goes somewhere colder! They say you have to be mad to be a goalkeeper 😁

Some crazy unbeaten runs at the business end of the season have actually been built on players not needing to train until Thursday if they get a result on the Saturday!

I think the mental side of being a professional footballer is often overlooked and time away for a few days every now and then can do everyone the world of good.

I hope JDS has done the reverse if what the Newcastle players did to Sandro Tonali and he sends Wright to the equivalent of Spoons.

Newcastle manager went into travel agents and asked where he could take the team for a winter break,the travel agents said you can't beat Bournemouth.
