Went to an evening with Jeff Stelling last night at the auditorium.
Very funny and engaging bloke, and as you can imagine, has some great stories to tell.

Reminded us all of the 8-1 dry bumming we received probably 20 odd years ago now haha.

Thanked us for Luke Waterfall. Said he's the sort of player who'd header a hand grenade without thinking twice.

haha I especially liked the reference to being a Joey Barton. Never using the C word again when I can call someone that  

And yeah he's alot shorter than I thought, and language more industrial than on the telly haha. His Chris Kamara stories were as good as I'd hoped as well.

There was Paul. The first half of the show was general chat and stories between the 3 of them on stage. You could then tweet or tag a message via social media during the interval and they answered questions in the 2nd half of the show. Was supposed to have Paul Merson there last night but he pulled out last minute and was replaced with Charlie Nicholas.

I’d say player-wise = downgrade, pundit-wise = upgrade.

Having said that, Merson’s one of those I’d love to meet. But I’ll admit I cannot even begin to understand his demons; he’s been addicted to most things going during his life. A lovely guy, I reckon, but brings a new meaning to the word ‘flawed’.
