Doesn't seem to be a stampede for tickets which I find a tad surprising and I really can't see much more than 6k turning up 😕

Despite the positivity from the last 9 days we've still lost 7 out of our last 8 home matches in all competition. And it's 11 days before Christmas. It's going to be a disappointing attendance.

Sold about 6k going off the seat map thingy- will probably do a few hundred more - sell 6400 ish (including Alex fans ) so announced 5.8k or something , quite good for probably one of the most difficult times financially for people with xmas around the corner imo - last season the crowds really took off after boxing day averaged over 6600 fans in the ground , with some decent away followings but in a relegation fight . I would hope it will be even better if we keep our form going + there is plenty of the relative bigger one's coming who will bring a good few . I imagine Harrogate, Vale , Notts and Chesterfield will all be 7k + won't they ? I would be suprised if not ; I imagine people who pick and choose games at 25 sheets a go are looking towards either/or/all of those really big one's rather than Saturday in truth

Funnily enough we played Crewe at almost the same time last season - 9th December. Attendance was 5291. So definitely a small uptick.
It's a difficult time of year for pockets and time so understand that. Moving forward though if we can maintain similar position in the league and decentish results I'd hope we start seeing those rise back to where they were in the last few seasons. We're averaging about 1,000 less than the last two years and 500 less than the NL season at the minute - which for context is still above anything we achieved going back to 02/03 up until the new owners came. For the first time in an awful long time there is a team to back that could realistically achieve something, obvious caveat of the home form being an issue of late of course.

Agreed, I mentioned this on another thread - most of our fan base have seen us mostly get stuffed when we encounter decent opposition. Away support is great but on average it's only 15% of home fans and some exiles will go to more away than home so in terms of the Blundell Park regulars lower than that. We need to build momentum with home performances - we don't have that yet. 5.8k would be decent with Crewe only bringing 250 or so. I also think this is a watershed year for the EFL which has had year on year growth in declared attendances. Championship games last night were played in front of half empty grounds or worse. At Cardiff there were 94 Preston fans. Cardiff declared 15k total, I doubt there many more than half that. Hull looked half empty (18k) WBA had a Derby game v Cov - Cov looked to have sold out but the home areas were far from full. This Sky deal could backfire massively if STH don't renew because they pick and choose and then see all non Saturday 3pm games on Sky.

Inflation absolutely killing everyone at the minute. Went out for a meal & to the pictures last week with the other half - bog standard meal for 2 & a couple of tickets in a near empty cinema was north of 80 quid.
Absolutely Christ knows how anyone does stuff like that on a regular.

Completely agree It will be a big time for most clubs come summer and season ticket renewals - I doubt price will go down when costs are going up ; it will be interesting come next season how much of the extra TV monies is actually wiped out by a decrease in ST sales + walkup sales - I would expect all of it and more in truth ,maybe even a significant amount for many clubs .

Someone at work said they took their parents for Ciabattas and hot chocolate to Costa - ended up at £56 for 3 people... I often stop for a coffee and a p!ss at Caenby Corner on the way to BP but I've stopped doing that - take a coffee flask and hang on for the waz til I make the Rutland - pint in there is cheaper than a Starbucks latte...
