Outstanding first half, on the front foot with lots of pace and aggression. JDS enjoyed his night and Obikwu was immense but, and we’ve had to wait, Luker showed exactly why he was so well touted and was MoM for me.

At no point up to tonight though, could we have said JDS was one of our better players. With everyone fit apart from CV, I would have expected him to be on the bench. Fair play to DA for starting him, perhaps he's been going really well in training.

The first time we’ve occupied a football league playoff place in December since 2005. This time last year we were 20th.

Home form wasn’t great in the run-up to tonight, but if this doesn’t represent progress, I don’t know what does.

Exactly JDS has perhaps been our most disappointing signing up until tonight. Perhaps it needs to be just above freezing before he performs? Great to see though well done JDS.

I could see Liverpool beating them 2 or 3-0.

Great start tonight and then we really turned the screw.
As raw as he is Obikwu is fairly quick and his willingness to run in behind created loads of space that we exploited.

It left loads of room to play in and JDS took the urine in it. Some of his runs were fabulous, he got clattered 3 or 4 times and just popped straight back up. A deserved MOM.

So good to sit watching us dominate and entertain in equal.measure...First half especially.  Also pleasing for all the staff to see their ideas and coaching coming to fruition....albeit against a pretty poor Accrington side.

Been a while since we reduced the opposition to outright clinical fouling as the only solution to stop us.

Really great to see Jason grow in confidence as the game went on. He is clearly a confidence player and they were frightened every time he got the ball from about 15 mins in.

He sums up Artell ball completely for me, sometimes he is going to look brilliant and sometimes, when it is not his day, he is going to run into people and have a mare. We just need to have patience to give him time to be as consistent as possible.

Some great football played tonight, and the ball from Hume (who I thought was excellent going forward again) for the second goal was an absolute peach.

UTFM

Brilliant first half, everything we could wish for, could certainly have been more than 4 0 at the break, probably should have been more. Stanley had no answer as they were torn apart, think they made two subs after about 30 mins, it was superb from town. That speed of passing and movement is what we need and the getting crosses in early.

Second half was a disappointment as we reverted to the ponderous fannying about at the back and less movement, we even managed to lose the second half against as poor a team as them. A shame we didn't go for it and try and improve our goal difference but ultimately we take the 3 points and plus 3 goals and go forward to another winnable game whilst sat in a playoff position. Well done e town!
