How many of the 115 charges will they be found guilty of?

Probably none.

Here comes the big acid test!

'I walked in the dressing room. The window was open and I thought that a sea fret had got in. Then I saw smoke billowing from a pipe in the corner of the room...it was my centre-forward. He looked seven stone wet through. He went on to score thirty-odd goals that season.' Lawrie McMenemy on encountering the legend that was Matt Tees.

I suspect their defence will be, "We don't recognise the validity of these charges because we're fricking loaded so have won loads of stuff. You won't dare to try and take it away from us."

I’d really really like the Premier League and FA to take a tough stance on this and make a very real example of City ‘if’ they are found guilty of these charges, whether that be few, many or all them. It would send a very clear message across British football that no team, regardless of their wealth, power, or connections that football and fair play comes first and that no team is above the laws of the game.

Let’s be honest, City are guilty as sin when it comes to underhand financial dealings , they admitted as much in a previous case against them when they simply challenged that the charges were outside of the legal timeframe allowed to be used against them. You also don’t get 115 charges laid at your door if there isn’t solid evidence of wrongdoing.

IF City are found guilty, I hope the book is thrown at them as harshly as possible, I’m talking, titles and trophies stripped from them, owners/board members handed bans,  years long transfer embrgo’s… demotion from the league isn’t out of the question… is it?!

But let’s be real, we can all see what’s coming, they will be found guilty of as few as possible to give the appearance of a full and thorough hearing, then given a hefty fine (pocket change to their owners) and made to issue some long-worded statement of regret etc etc… at the very most I could see a token one window transfer ban.

I hope I’m wrong but this will only serve to highlight that money and power rules football and City and their ridiculously paid legal team will squirm away unscathed…. All while teams like Everton get deducted points for misdemeanours not even in the same stratosphere as what City are accused of.

Having said that, would the FA and Premier League come all this way and go through all this if they were not utterly convinced of their guilt and have the evidence to back it up.

Will make for interesting following regardless.

What does everyone else think the realistic outcome will be?

A 'hefty' points deduction that won't be enough to stop them qualifying for the Champions League would be my complete guess.

The Scottish FA showed the way with how they dealt with Rangers a few years back. I don't think our FA or Premiershi* have the balls to do the same.

I can't see the court case going the full stretch. A settlement out of court feels likely to me, and the settlement will probably be a large fine and transfer embargo. Man City have allegedly racked up £100m in legal fees for this which they are offsetting against the fair play rules!
