Once again letting the side down, and needs to come out of the team. Should be organising the wall based on the angle he’s covering and should be saving that at his near post all day long.

Arguably digging the lad out in a dedicated thread is a tad on the harsh side, but I think the sentiment is correct. Goalkeepers will make mistakes, but you can’t afford to concede goals to them every week.

Not even just the mistakes, the amount of times he just aimlessly leathers it downfield is frustrating

He seems particularly weak on his near post. It’s almost like teams are doing their homework.

He's a tall lad and seems very slow to get down to efforts near the ground.

He’s fúcking massive but he’s currently using his height as effectively as Tommy Forecast.

Reality is he is very inexperienced for mid twenties just 20 EfL games and a handful of National  League North games . Our last three goalkeeping recruits have been young and inexperienced .An old hand would surely be better in League 2

Jake Eastwood turns 28 next month but you’re right in terms of a relative lack of games. Probably too early to wright off Wright; Danny Coyne was poor early in his Toen career, but it’s been a slightly risky strategy to sign three consecutive goalkeepers without much in the way of first-team experience.

Then again, Nick Colgan is the counter-argument to all that.

I'd still rather have Wright. He's young and inexperienced, and he will make mistakes, but has a chance to grow and improve. Your other option is Eastwood (who ins't any better than Wright), who at the age of 27 hasn't once been able to claim and keep the no.1 spot for an entire season, including here last season where the fan base was calling for his replacement on mass.

I don't mind Roy Keane making £60,000 a week. I was making the same when I was playing. The only difference was I was printing my own - Mickey Thomas

The area you are trying to protect at corners is the goal - Chris Kamara

I once said Gazza's IQ was less than his shirt number and he asked me: What's an IQ? - George Best

I haven't been impressed with any part of Wright's game to be honest, not sure what the recruitment team have seen in him. Not a great shot stopper, error-prone, doesn't command his six-yard box very well, weak on crosses and average distribution. I certainly think we could improve him with a bit of work, but you just don't get that sort of time in football, especially in League Two where you're one bad run away from non-league. We can't afford for him to be making game-changing mistakes every week.

I thought Eastwood did well when he came back into the side towards the end of last season and should be given the shirt for now.
