Felt the keeper should have done MUCH better with their goal and it gave them a bit of momentum which we stifled well. Led brilliantly by Captain Rose but a clear MOM for me was Green who i have been critical of, nothing short of sensational today

Good pretty much all over the pitch and great to have Rose back. Keeper should have done better… again. Can’t afford more mistakes and Eastwood ready to step in.

The flashes of good play we’ve seen this season were far more often, you can finally see those ‘repeatable’ passages of play Artell talks about so often. Green was absolutely outstanding, Mceachran not too far behind him and Hume had a superb second half. In fact it’s really hard to pick a player who played badly, Wright should’ve done better with the goal but commanded his area well otherwise. This team really needs getting behind now, that’s 2 wins and 2 losses to start the season, it’s an okay start and they’re miles away from the relegation threatened mob they’ve been accused of being recently.

At times, the one-touch passing was of extremely high quality. Considering that we have several key players out with injuries, this bodes well for the season. What was the attendance??? In his three stints as Grimsby Town manager spanning over 10 years the club was never relegated and he also guided them to three promotions. Only 14 managers have reached 1,000 matches in charge of a Football League team by 1998 and Buckley is one of them. GOD

Thought there were good performances all over, Green was magnificent. Khouri and McEachran were very good. The much maligned Hume, who I think is a good player had a very good game. Only sour point was allowing the lad to run with the ball and then the shocking goalkeeping when he hit it.
