Each user now has a login streak (on Member Centre) which shows how many consecutive days you have accessed the forum, and also your maximum "streak". Most people are on 3 or 4 days at the moment as that's how long it has been running for. If you don't log in for a day your streak will get set to zero.

You can also see other users' streaks on their member page (unless they are set to private browsing).

Hopefully it works, but any problems let me know.

Do you mean pull off the updates from Twitter and put them on the Fishy match thread? Or the opposite, and post the link to the Fishy match thread on Twitter?
