Whether it's a backwards step or not depends on how much it will cost to watch those games that are on the Sky Player app.

Their advert  for this says 'at no extra cost'.

One thing I’m a bit concerned about is that they talk about people who ‘live’ overseas rather than ‘are’ overseas and I’m wondering if it’s a way of stopping the use of VPNs.
‘ Please note that match passes will be available to supporters who live overseas only at the usual cost of £10 per game.’
E.g. could a uk based subscriber be denied access even when ‘on holiday in France’ based on their registered address?
Anyone know if this is new terminology or am I just paranoid?

There was a season where a few VPNs were blocked at times. You could always try another VPN to get around it then. That hasn't happened in awhile, so wonder if they turn a blind eye, knowing its ultimately still income.

Just read up about the Now TV deal at £34.99 per month. No thanks, I only want to watch Town games.

I've renewed my ST and should make 90% of home games. I tried to renew my Mariners TV last night but card payment failed four times so yesterdays worldwide glitch is likely to be responsible. Hang on though, it's really only for radio comms as I'm not fussed about all the fluffy training vids, interviews and badge kissing.

Not really selling itself for me so may save the cash for an away game or two. This season has an uneasy feel to it all round so far. Just have to wait and see.
