Didn't Slade in 2017 sign like 6 players who had been on trial

Can anyone remember who was the last player we signed having had them on a pre-season trial?

Ladapo played successfully on the left first half and on the right second half. Good touch, movement and awareness of others. Not a head down dasher, more mercurial and willowy in style. Wins free kicks and throws, can go outside or cut in for a shot. Great finish for his goal in one of few quality moments second half.

I liked the way he dropped back to link with his full backs but had the pace to stretch their defenders when possible. Watch out Vernam. Loved the way he just quietly got on with his job but high fived all the coaches and subs when he was applauded off. Well worth a contract for me.

Wilson,  Mcjannet, Khouri, Dadi, both keepers and Macreachan had good moments but Thompson not up to speed yet.

Sounds very positive about Ladapo. If he's young and inexpensive, might be worth offering something as it's always useful to have a player who's quick and able to go past the opposition.

Some highlights by Clee Town here - that away kit really is a think of beauty, isn’t it? Our best kit in many a year, imo.

Ladapo by far the standout on the day, was surprised so considering the reviews from the Borough game weren't positive for him.

Got a nice style on the ball where he consistently dangles it just far enough in front to draw a tackle but not far enough to lose control.  Not just in appearance but the way he plays reminds me a bit of Eze for Palace, I suppose a more relevant comparison for Town would be Erico Sousa, not slow but not rapid either yet quick enough over 5 yards to skip past players.

Cass looked good when he came on at centre-back, looks a proper athlete.  Carson's deliveries were very good which is encouraging and I definitely liked what McEachran brought to the second half, almost an effortless dictating of some good pieces of football.  He's definitely not going to be a No 10 and you can see why his assists and goals tally is low, but I fancy he'll be the one who feeds the actual suppliers if that makes sense.  McJannet brought the ball out well from the back and is clearly comfortable doing so, thought he was the one who looks earlier in his pre-season development as couple of the Clee lads went past him but he did well enough to recover.

Dadi didn't do a lot in all honesty.  One moment where he had a chance to stretch his legs but other than that largely anonymous.  I think one of the biggest battles with him is going to about keeping the expectations realistic.
