You are right, it probably didnt need saying.

If he is as good as the club think he could be. He will perform, reach his limit with town and move on.

So we've not signed ex-Tranmere striker Eugène Dadi?

I've seen a lot of excitement about this lad and I've got caught up in it, but genuinely not sure what it's based on.  Sure the international caps is exciting but we've literally nothing to judge him on.

I can't remember the last time I was eagerly awaiting a new signing just to see what he's like rather than expecting him to be good!

It’s tricky, isn’t it, with the Icelandic domestic league being so obscure. But the fact he’s getting international caps for a nation that has played at major tournaments a few times over the last decade gives me a degree of confidence.

He features here from about 5:00 (he’s number 11, on the left), against Honduras, who are similar in ranking to someone like Georgia or Northern Ireland, for context. Even bags himself an assist:
