Interested to know if anyone knows if Gav has got fixed up anywhere?
Still think about the Notts goal and the two pens at Southampton!  Hoping he has found something.

He was on a LNER train heading north (towards Leeds) last Friday.

I’ve heard Crawley are interested in him. If it’s also true about Notts County then looks like some decent clubs are after him

I’d be amazed at this. We released him a season too late.

I'd be expecting Holohan to turn up at a northern team in the National League, or in the National League North so he can commute from Hull.

If he can get a deal at this level then fair play to him!

Wasn't the same said about Terry Taylor?...
Holohan has something to offer an EFL team, but more aa a squad filler than a nailed name in the match day squad.

Yes but Taylor was at the start of his career, not 32 and in decline. Holohan hasn’t spent much of his career in L2, let alone L1 and you reckon that he’ll suddenly be up to that level as he approaches his 33rd birthday?

Good lad Gav, hope he gets the best move possible. I know he’s got coaching qualifications so maybe he’s exploring his options.

I like Gav as a bloke and love what he did for the club, but you have to say that’s a bizarre signing from Crawley.

Great for Gav though

Good for Gav, he's a top bloke.

But if this is the calibre of Crawley's signings for L1 then I will be having a flutter on them to be relegated.

Two-year deal as well. I’m very much in the camp of those who loved him and thought he was brilliant for us - one of the single most influential players this side of the millennium when you look at his contributions, but assumed he’d be making a step down, not up.

Good luck to him though, can’t help but wish the bloke well. Scott Lindsey has been fantastic for Crawley, easily the manager of the season last year. Assuming he’s involved in recruitment, then maybe he sees something us mere mortals don’t. Who knows?

To look at this another way, it’s heartening to see players go on to decent things after leaving Town. For so many years BP was where the careers of players and managers came to die - how many dropped out of the professional game completely after exiting in the noughties and 2010s?

It’s a very subtle sign of the progress the club has made imo, even if we might not be direct beneficiaries in this instance.

A fantastic move for him but I only saw it likely that he would move down a division, not up. Hopefully, he'll hit a purple patch and chip in with some goals just like he did with us during his first season and a half with the club.

I’ve just had a very quick glance at Crawley’s transfer business. Looks like they have lost a number players from their promotion season (Orsi and their goalkeeper included), and have signed a number of players from League 2 clubs.

They look destined for relegation to me.

32 and playing League One football for the very first time in his career.  Good luck Holohan.  Would be quite amusing if Crawley do very well and end up in the top 8 lol.

Many (myself included) thought Crawley were certainties for the drop last season and look how that panned out. On the face of it, their summer recruitment this year paints a similar picture, albeit in League 1.

Really love Gav, the play off campaign and the FA cup run, he was absolutely pivotal in both. But for me he's conference level at the moment so really surprised to see him go to a league 1 team. Great move for him!

They seem to know our telephone number now. Instead of press 1 for the ticket office, 2 for commercial etc. do they get ‘dial 1 for Mullarkey, 2 for Holohan, 3 for ******?’

Love Gav and what he brought to us in his first 18 months. Brilliant move for him as he's really fallen on his feet there - as they're in a different division I can wish him all the best with no caveats.

I really liked Gav.

But if Crawley think that he and Mullarky will make a similar impact to Orsi they might be a little disappointed.

Many (myself included) thought Crawley were certainties for the drop last season and look how that panned out. On the face of it, their summer recruitment this year paints a similar picture, albeit in League 1.

Same.  Their summer dealings 12-months ago looked very poor and destined to see them relegated.  Just shows what we know as fans...

Despite getting caught out by them last season, I still think they'll struggle this season.  Big step-up and a lot of their key players gone.  However, there has to be a strong nod of acknowledgement to what their recruitment approach is and how it is clearly picking stuff up that no-one else is.

I wasn't overly disappointed to see Holohan go as I thought he had run his course with us, that's not taking away what he did for us either!  I guess without having seen any of the replacements yet, my slight concern would be that there's a risk we've lost both of our tempo setters of the last 3 years in Holohan and Clifton at the same time.

Regardless, it's a great move for Holohan and it's rare that you see a player move on and genuinely wish that he does well. Holohan firmly falls into that category.

2 year deal, Good for you Gav

Thoroughly decent bloke and wish him nothing but the best

Fair play to Gav, awesome for him, but good god, Crawley are in trouble here. I dread to think how we’d do in L1, let alone a depleted Crawley.
