The €300 was the bribe he took!

Poor research on my part.
However, the Bribe ban was hushed up by the German FA for several years until a paper published an FA report.
After the Jude Bellingham outburst, Zwayer took a break from refereeing, so he's fully aware of Jude Bellingham and what he said.

What gets me is that referees should act like "Caesars Wife" i.e. act above suspicion. Can you Imagine the outrage if Bellingham's goal is voided due to some infringement?

Personally not too worried about the ref, unless he heads one in at the far post, he knows there will be millions scrutinising every decision so unless VAR is bent then he should be fine.

Quite an intriguing game . I think we know how England will roughly setup .

But Holland have a bit of a dilemma - do they stick or twist ?

No team has opened up against us and I suspect we would be a lot more effective if they did , maybe even easier on the eye .

Suspect it might be a relatively cagey affair tbh , as I can't imagine the Dutch going for it and leaving themselves open to counters - Van Dijk looks to have lost a yard ,still a great defender but he's been isolated 1 on 1 a couple of times and been roasted badly .

All of the Dutch forwards have looked pretty average during their time playing in the PL so, no doubt, they will end up playing like world-beaters tonight!

I agree it is likely to be cagey, not least because that's how Southgate is always going to play and Koeman is a pragmatic manager as well.

You could say the win on Saturday has taken the pressure off the players, but the other side to that is everybody seems to have forgotten quite how excrement we’ve been this tournament.

I do worry about tonight, we’re going to need a marked improvement and our record against top 10 sides absolutely reeks under Southgate. Hoping the players haven’t spent this week feeling like they’ve solved their woes, because there’s still a long long way to go.

England will win tonight but Spain will beat them in the final.

They deserve it as well

I can’t see Holland not scoring somehow. At least we’ll have to open up if they score first

Didn't poojah point out NO England manager since 66 has won a knock out tie against a top 10 team at a tournament. Think he said we beat Spain in 96 but even that was technically a draw and we went through on penalties.

My heart says I really hope we win tonight, and then in the final.

I’d even put up with sweet f******g Caroline for another 2 games.

My head says it’s another tight game that could go either way & to pens again.
