Spain - Players either too old or too young, and lacking a real goal threat. Strong midfield might carry them a while though with Rodri and Pedri.

France - Abundance of talent, the PL’s best central defender Saliba can’t even get in the side. They’ll either romp it or implode in typical French style. They have the only genuine world class player at the tournament as well.

England - Recent winners have been defensively sound, something that cannot currently be said about this squad, far too inexperienced.

Portugal - My favourites, strong defence with Dias and Ignacio then Palhinha in front of them. Loads of creators in Bernardo and Bruno. Real fire power at the top end as well.

Germany - Strong, but too inexperienced to win it in my opinion, home advantage will help though, possible semis for the Germans

Italy     - Huge turnover of their squad since Euro 2020, especially defensively. Tough group as well with Spain and Croatia, early flight home for the pasta lovers.

"Falls to Arnold... Arnold! That's it! Thats it! He's sealed it! Grimsby Town are back in the football league!!! Just a minute to go and Nathan Arnold makes it 3-1! Look at the scenes behind the goal! Look at the relief! The agony is finally over!!!"

Italy but only because I have them in two sweepstakes.

England will win it, trust me.

I've only been wrong once before when I thought I was wrong and I wasn't.

When Leeds trainer Les Cocker was once told Norman Hunter had broken a leg, he asked: “Whose is it?”

I thought we should have won Euro 96 and had a decent shot at 98 under Hoddle as I thought he was a quality coach even if not liked by the players (he was a better player than them all tbf) Golden chance was against Italy laat time out imo , there for the taking . Not sure we will get that chance anytime soon . I would like another underdog to win it, like Greece in 2004 as it gives hope at least . Scotland ? No

Do we know when Les is drawing out the teams for the sweepstakes yet or have I missed it?

I'm with PP, England will do great and win, and I'll win Les's sweepstake. Biased or what?
