Grimsby Town strongly condemns any form of racial abuse and have a zero-tolerance stance.

The club have been made aware and are appalled by a comment made on social media last night.

The club has begun an investigation working with the relevant authorities and supported by our Designated Football Police Officer.

We take a zero tolerance stance to any forms of abuse, and will not hesitate to issue a Club ban to anybody found to have used such language

100% against the person or persons who made the X's (Tweet's) / Facebook comments.

Seen someone just say it was a Lincoln fan trolling. No excuse though. Absolutely vile sharp object regardless, should be a banning order. On the plus side, this utter cretin has done it using his fullname so might be easy to track down.

Also, massive credit to the swift response from those involved. Doesn't matter what your stance is on them, there's absolutely no denying that the old regime would not have done the same so quickly, if at all. Actual tangible and important progress within the club.

Didn't leaen from Wacca obviously . Hopefully the penny will eventually drop with the few both at games and online that action will/should be taken against them for this sort of thing .

Having seen a screen grab of the offending comment, it never ceases to amaze me that no matter how many people serve jail time, lose their livelihoods or lose the right to watch their club of choice for behaviour like this, bell ends of this nature continue to spout such flagrantly racist bile, without giving any thought to the potential ramifications.

It’s one level of idiocy to hold such views in the first place, it’s an on another spectrum altogether to have such a fundamental lack of basic intelligence to air them in writing, in the most public of places, in this instance without even the thinnest veil of anonymity.

I genuinely can’t wrap my head around how any adult could be so utterly thick as fúck, but sadly this won’t be the last time we see someone burn their own life to the ground owing to their own sense of bigotry and stupidity.
