Or are we the league’s worst home support (against potential home support obviously) because it’s so difficult for casual fans to buy tickets and the remaining seats are all rubbish and the general facilities and fan experience is poor.

It’s the elephant in the room that the current owners won’t talk about… BP not being fit for purpose at this level let alone the level the owners say they have ambition to get to.

If a new stadium is a non-starter then a new, bigger main stand with modern facilities (for fans and players) and excellent disabled vantage points is the obvious thing to pursue.

Not sure the elephant in the room analogy works in this context. It’s more an elephant that everyone talks about endlessly but is too big to get out the door, so it’s going to have to wait until someone finds the money to knock a hole in the wall.

And how many of those brought anywhere near that many to BP this season? 3 or 4, maybe?

Other than the obvious ones, most away fans see us, rightly, as a backwater and don’t travel here. I think a lot of those figures listed are ballooned by the occasional big number for their relative local games.

Bradford are the ones for me that seem to disappoint on the road , they get 3 times our home support yet their fans dont seem to want to travel , despite having a lot better transport links than us, I also thoght Stockport would have had done better on the road.

Not sure how accurate those figures are on that site as there are discrepancies between that and the list below which is taken from the away support thread on TFF. I'd be very surprised if we averaged over 1000.

Yeah, they're from a clickbait local news rag. The ones I've posted are calculated and averaged as the season goes and checked in match reports. Admittedly, there is room for human error there but they're usually spot on. Like I said, I highly doubt we averaged over 1000.
