depends how you look at it, i bet he's on a good wedge, and i guess you could argue he probably deserves to be on a good wedge (performance related).  Good player but you have to way it up, would it be worth Town paying say 3.5K a week when it could take up a chunk of the playing budget.  That's bearing in mind if he's on a good wedge, he could be on 1k a week for all I know.

I can pretty much guarantee Madden coined more than £3.5k a week at Stockport and considering he scored 17 goals, played in nearly every game for a title winning side, captained said side and ended the season in fine form he won't have dropped his wage demands.

To ‘pretty much guarantee’ something is to not guarantee it at all
