Football is a funny old game we have gone from asking season ticket holders to release their seat to bring a buddy in just a few weeks Jason was right, we don't need a new ground because we can't fill the one we have (is this the plan) Come thick or thin i will be there cheering the lads on at the next home game, not sure about bringing a buddy though not putting any of my mates through that

The usual suspects using it as yet another reason to have a go at Hurst on social media, Twitter is a flipping dive

I understand the data analysts have identified these games as the optimum fixtures for maximising revenue through deployment of the scheme.

Anti social media mate. Life’s far more simpler and less aggravating if you avoid it altogether. I would have thought you’d get enough of that on here….unless you’re a sadist of course in which case I understand why you’d want to dive in to Twitter/instagram/FB/ (insert platform here) too!

Luck of the draw. There's been games I've been to in recent years that I've enjoyed eg remember the one where Kayden Jackson played really well on the opening home game of the season and Grimsby won. Other games not so good . For a hardcore football fan there would still be allure eg your looking at technique and shape of the team in trying to get something out of the game but for the casual spectator it must be harder seeing some of these duller affairs . I know from past experiences in other grounds some casuals who aren't really into league football like the atmosphere as much as the football which can grow on them which can make for a great day out if the crowd is up for it.

Just a reminder of Simple’s body of work:
Just a thought Holloway is still living in the area and out of work
Anyone seen the happy clappers
The players have downed tools and are no longer playing for Hurst, something not right behind the scenes at the clu Got caught eating the chairman's partners hairy pie i read on twitter, if you can believe everything posted on twitter
I expect one of our loans to become a permanent Town player.
Smith. You also said that Wacca was potentially Dave Smith.
Wacca could be anyone of many with an axe to grind. As i said above, dont shoot the messenger i did say there is no chance he's going there but they are 100% its already a done deal
He's better than a move to Mansfield
Talking to two Mansfield Town fans this afternoon and apparently Harry Clifton was close to signing for the Stags during the final few hours of the January transfer window, deal fell through because we lost out on someone from Lincoln hence we wouldn't let Harry go
They are of the opinion there is an agreement in place where Clifton signs for Mansfield in the summer for £360,000 plus add-ons
Don't shoot me, just passing on what i was told earlie
Someone said Tuesday night Wacca is our ex commercial manager, the one before the high heels and slap
Its not about the football it's about the match day experience, scotch eggs, fancy pies, docks beers what more do you lot want

I didn't think the Wimbledon and Salford games were too bad and Gillingham was really good , Mansfield will probably win the league so that was a good point and we hung in there - thereafter obviously it's been below par and people are jumping on that .
If we look at it as a whole the Buddy's have a 50% chance of a decent game and performance .....wait and see ,I'm trying to remain optimistic whether that's with Hurst in charge or not .
We have such a great run in with all those bigger teams at home after Xmas, let's just hope it's not with us in a relegation battle with the park packed out once again for all the wrong reasons .

Left me feeling a bit deflated seeing 3 back-to-back home fixtures designated as 'Bring a Buddy' games.
No issue at all with the club trying to rally decent numbers in what, on paper, look like the fixtures were the gate would drop a bit.
But I really thought and hoped that we would struggle to fit these initiatives in this season, think last season there was only one game much later in the season that was used for it. For it to be rolled out this early just feels a genuine reflection of how disappointing the first quarter or so of the season has proved to be.

All this reminds me a bit of the numbers game and business. Saw something similar on Sunderland till I die on Netflix when new owners tried to get as much people into the stadium as possible and hit targets. In fairness to the Grimsby owners I think there's more attachment as they come from the local area . You can't force people to come though as people will have other things to do on a weekly basis ( with football not being a priority for some ) besides watching lower league football which at times can be good but other times more a endurance particularly if it's a bad game.

I did come to BP to watch the Wimbledon game and thought we were average. What did impress me with Wimbledon was the speed and pace of some of the Wimbledon players. It reminded me of when, years ago, West Ham came to BP. Trevor Brooking and all jogged around the pitch while our team played like terriers chasing rats ( not that Brooking & Co are/were rats). Today's team, with the exception of an inform Harry, always seem so slow compared to the opposition.

Efete possibly the quickest physically however crosses the halfway line at a rate of knots and ends up turning back instead if bombing on.

Only without the ball, he is unable to control it well enough to be quick with it. Hence why he never takes anyone on with the ball and beats them but passes (usually backwards) instead.
