Dean Campbell (midfielder) on a two-year deal after he was released by Aberdeen. The 22-year-old box-to-box midfielder spent 14 years with his hometown club and made 75 appearances. He spent last season on loan in League Two with Stevenage and played 26 times in all competitions.

Ellis Iandolo (left-back/midfielder) from Swindon Town for an undisclosed fee. The 25-year-old is predominantly a left-back has agreed a two-year deal. Iandolo has spent his entire pro career with the Swindon making 130 appearances, scoring three goals since making his first appeance in 2015.

Colchester United signed
Nico Lawrence (centre-back) on a season-long loan from Southampton. The 19-year-old spent the second half of last season on loan with Torquay, who went on to be relegated from the National League. He made 20 league appearances for the Gulls and collected their young player of the season award. Before joining Torquay, he signed a new Saints contract to remain with the club until the summer of 2025.

Ryan Cooney (right-back) a two-year-deal, after he was released by League Two side Morecambe following relegation. Cooney came through the youth ranks at Bury, and played a part in their promotion from League Two in 2018-19. He was signed by Burnley in 2019 and became part of the Premier League side’s first-team squad before being loaned to Morecambe in January 2020. There, he made 46 appearances as the Shrimpers won promotion from the fourth tier in 2021. He now has a total of 157 outings and two goals under his belt, after two campaigns in League One.

He stayed at the Premier League club for five years, enjoying loan spells at Macclesfield, Shrewsbury, and Cambridge. He joined Cambridge on a permanent basis in 2021 and helped them win promotion from League Two in his first season. In total, Tracey has scored 11 goals in 57 starts.

Teddy Jenks (midfielder) have signed Teddy Jenks on a free transfer after being released by Brighton & Hove Albion. The 21-year-old box-to-box midfielder only made two senior appearances for the Premier League club, which both came in the EFL Cup. He spent last season on loan at Crawley Town, making 21 appearances before a hamstring injury ended his campaign. He made 24 appearances in all competitions for Aberdeen in the 2021/22 campaign - including in the Europa Conference League - while Crawley Town was his chosen destination for a loan stint last season. Harvey Rogers (centre-back) on a three-year contract after he rejected a new deal with Accrington Stanley. He came through the academy at Hull City but never made an appearance for the Tigers. A successful loan spell with the Reds during the second half of the 2016/17 season. He then joined Fleetwood Town at the start of the 2017/18 campaign but saw his first team appearances limited to just five games in League One. The 26-year-old made 53 appearances for Stanley in all competitions last season as they were relegated to League Two.

Charlie Brown (striker) on a one-year deal, following his release by Cheltenham Town. The 23-year-old scored 5 goals in 28 games last season, his second campaign with the Robins. His career began in the youth set-up at Chelsea where he progressed through the ranks, featuring in the Stamford Bridge side's under-21s squad. During 2020 he spent time on loan in Belgium with Union Saint-Gilloise making nine appearances in the Belgian capital of Brussels. Brown would then sign for MK Dons permanently, in his first season making 20 appearances for them, scoring 3 goals in the process. In his second season at Stadium MK the striker made just 12 appearances before moving to Cheltenham Town.

The 26-year-old has spent the last two-and-a-half years at Newport where he played 65 times, scoring five goals. During his time at Newport, he featured in the 2020-21 League Two play-off final and added goals to his game in the 2022/23 season as he established himself in the team. Farquharson began his career in non-league and represented Hitchin Town, Billericay Town, Hayes & Yeading and Bishop’s Stortford.
