Craig Clay released by Leyton Orient, along with teammate Sonny Fish. At least one of those two nailed on to end up here.

I liked Clay when he was here, and the fact he’s started 30 odd times for the League Two champions suggests he’s still half-decent, or more likely improved in the time since.

Harry Smith also released, as expected.

Ahhhhh, nominative determinism at its finest.

No prizes for guessing the tellywag's headline if this happens

Seemed to think their fans were raving about the prospects of Fish when we played them previously at their plaice (intended).

I liked Clay when he was here and he's gone into better things since being with us but we could well only be bringing one CM in and Clay doesn't improve that area enough for me. If we could move Holohan on (who can still do a job) then it's a different story.

All 18 year  2s released [/quote]

It’s worth keeping a close eye on the progression and development of young Grayson Giles who signed for us from Scunny on a 2 year scholarship. Only 16-17 but sounds like a real prospect for the future and has scored a bucket load of goals at youth level.

Don’t be surprised if we do sign some 2nd year YTs, but ones who have been released by other clubs.

I think with Clay you have to ask yourself :
1) Is he better than what we have ?
2) would he be the final piece of the jigsaw if we retain what we currently have in midfield  ?

I am unsure
