This is the best possible outcome, we could have lost him for nothing at the end of the season or at least a lot less than we got out of this deal. Have to really thank Luton for being so reasonable and wanting the McAtee to get game time so we didn't lose an important player this season. We got a really good deal.

Its going to be interesting how well McAtees career will go. I haven't seen him yet due to other commitments but from what others have said and the likes of four four two magazine as well who included a section on McAtee in their latest edition the future does like bright for him if he can try to  keep on improving. Its the hallmark of the great players most notably  Cristiano Ronaldo.Natural Ability and mental resolve in abundance which created the superstar he is now.

That they do.

7 listed in their first team squad.  Cameron Jermone, Harry Cornick, Carlton Morris, Cauley Woodrow, Elijah Adebayo, Carlos Mendes Gomes and Admiral Muskwe.

I know Gomes has been mentioned as someone people would like to see us make a move for, not sure how serious those shouts are.

But Muskwe could be someone we do go for.  Like Mendes he wasn't even in the squad for Luton on Saturday, despite a few injuries and struggled to feature much at all last season other than some bench warming duties.

Wouldn't surprise me at all if we find ourselves with another Luton loanee in a Town shirt by the end of the month.

In all seriousness, if you’re Nathan Jones it makes sense to have two of your forwards out on loan together building a relationship over the course of a season. Muskwe certainly looks a decent option but 20 Championship appearances last season means he’s probably looking a bit higher than L2.

McAtee's going from the Vanarama to the Bananarama in one (un)cruel summer...

Luton and Jones obviously trust Hurst and his crew coaching team if they're willing to sign McAtee but let him stay with us for a year so who knows?

If the Luton boss had notions, he could loan odd strikers to us to see if there could be a good partnership with McAtee, for future reference, it helps both parties, wouldnt that be something

Because people can’t read?

This deal is a dream for everyone involved…under Fenty we’d have got £50k, a excrement pre season game, an evening with Yaxley-Lennon and Fenty would’ve got a new patio…

Of course it does prove what an astute signing it was by Hurst to bring him here in the first place. Just as Bogle was.

So I am confident he will bring in more good forwards to the club. We just need to be patient.

Best of both worlds.
Good move for the lad.
Sound business by Town.
Knowing what the lad is like he will still be giving 100% every time he pulls on a Town shirt.
Onwards and upwards UTM

In his three stints as Grimsby Town manager spanning over 10 years the club was never relegated and he also guided them to three promotions.
Only 14 managers have reached 1,000 matches in charge of a Football League team by 1998 and Buckley is one of them.
