Good news it's next Tuesday sad news is I will miss my birthday, anniversary and fathers day, because I will need 2 weeks in intensive care then another few weeks back at WS Hospital afterwards.

Enjoy the summer lads league football will be back at the park before you know it.

You can have a revelry period after your op and have a belated celebratory day for each of the occasions you’ll miss!

All the best Pete hope it runs as smoothly as possible for you and your family!

I am back home now as the doctors do not want to open my back (  lung  ) until my front has healed. as my body could not cope until then..

So it's about 2 or 3 months at home taking it is easy until then.

When do we play Colchester ?  Yes you have got it about 3 months 17th September it's only 40 minutes up the road from where I live.

Let's hope I can make that one.

Thanks for all your kind words fellow fishes.

I would just like to add what a fantastic hospital Papworth is.

Everybody have their own private room with on suite . Widescreen tv and encourage you to press for any help you might need. All the staff are friendly and helpful and at your beck and call 24/7 .

I have to go back in and around September for operation on lung and although I do not like hospital in general I am looking forward to my return.

So thanks to Papworth and to you all for showing your concern.

Thanks Luke got to go back in a couple of months for operation on lung.

I hope to see Ian and a few more at Colchester if I can make it but it might clash with my second op.

Pete been of the fishy for a bit but glad to see things have gone ok with your hospital procedures. As someone as well who has had physical health problems since a small boy I know how tough things can get especially with the emotional side.

Hope things stay stable with your health and you have many more years on this planet.

God bless you my friend
